I grew up with old arcade games. Simple controls, short rounds, and still you want one more go. That is how I build my arcade games for Android.

The first one is Sky Hustle: Dragon Lander.

The games

Level 14 by day: the red dragon carries the king, a shower of sparks behind it and the protective ring of a star around it. A cannonball flies through the air, a cannon stands below. On the right the palace with the crown waits as the goal, and the princess stands on a platform.

What makes a good arcade game

A good arcade game explains itself in seconds and still will not let go of you. You see at once what to do, and every round shows you what to do better next time.

In Sky Hustle you are the kingdom’s courier, and your company car is a dragon. You fly the king, the knight, the princess and the monk to their door and have to land softly while guards and cannons try to stop you. 30 levels take you from the harbour to the royal castle.
